Biography

Born in 1970 in Split. Graduated in Art History and Latin language and Roman literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb in 1995. In the same year, she was employed at the 1st gymnasium in Zagreb as a professor of art history and the Latin language. She was also a proofreader for the Latin language on the Croatian-Latin encyclopaedic dictionary authored by Jozo Marević (Školska knjiga, Zagreb, 1997).

Since December 2000, she has been employed at the Institute of Art History in Zagreb. As a researcher on the project “Artistic heritage from antiquity to the modern age„ (PI Dr Diana Vukičević Samaržija), she accomplished a MA thesis on the topic “Trogir – Romanesque residential architecture on the example of the Andreis’ block“. The dissertation on the topic “Gothic residential architecture of the city of Trogir“ was accomplished as part of the project “Architecture and Urbanism of the Croatian Late Middle Ages“ (PI Dr Diana Vukičević Samaržija) and defended in May 2010. Both qualification theses were done under the supervision of Igor Fisković, a Full Member of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Her area of scientific interest includes topics from medieval urban and architectural history, research of archival sources of medieval communes and the development of digital art history methodology.

Projects

Dalmatian cities in the Middle Ages: the form and the function (PI, Institutional project, 2019–2023). Within the project she participates in Adriatic Net/Work with scholars from Norway, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Croatia to create a digital database People of the Renaissance Adriatic

Fortifications of the city of Trogir. Visualising changes from 220 BCE until 1900 CE (PI, Institutional project, 2018/2019–2023). The project was part of the Getty Foundation Summer Institute Visualizing Venice Advanced Topics in Digital Art History: 3D and (Geo)Spatial Networks, Venice, 2018–2019, organised by Duke University NC, USA, Università di Padova, Italy, and Venetian International University, Italy
