The result of the Architectural Section activities is the Plans Library in which over 9000 architectural plans and maps of historical cores of cities and settlements are stored as well as individual sacral and profane buildings which are mainly microfilmed and included in the central architectural documentation database at the Directorate for Historical and Natural Heritage protection of the Ministry of Culture. The complete digitalization of its fund is in course. Plans Library is used by researchers for further research, as well as for conservation purposes, e. g. it has been a very valuable source for the reconstruction/restoration of urban settlements and individual monuments damaged during the war.
